“The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying yes I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

Jeremiah 31:3

You have purpose. You are not an accident, a mistake, or a bastard. As it is written “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name; who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but God.” You are God’s beloved, dearly loved, and dear to His heart. Our entire make up, DNA, thoughts, and paths are known by Jesus. We are remembered, and never forgotten or abandoned by Jesus. Our God Himself has said that He will never leave us, nor forsake us. As it is written, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold You are there. If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea. Even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.” So in our good times, bad times, and when we feel like we are drowning, God is there. We live by faith, not sight, and blessed is the one who believes and has not seen. Abandonment and darkness makes us feel that we are alone, but nothing could be farther from the truth. As it is written “When He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him; When He turns to the right hand, I cannot see Him. But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.”

Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.

The world may label us orphans or bastards, but we are not so; God Himself has said “That we shall call Him Father.”
I myself did not meet my biological dad until I was 18, but my eyes was always on the Lord. I know that the Holy Spirit was guiding and protecting me in the midst of it all. As it is written “He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”

But these things and more, will never just fall into our hands. We have to seek His face day and night; remain in His word and stay faithful. Sonship is found in obedience. As it is written “Why do you call Me Father and not do what I say.” It’s through the Blood, that the world will know who our Father is. I curse the spirits of loneliness, abandonment and desolation at the root; giving it no room to grow in our lives. Our Lord Jesus is our Father, and His love is always there for us as long as it is called today.
