Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Nehemiah 8:10

Reading the Bible, makes us know that God wants us to be strong and courageous, but this opening Scripture shows us the depths of it, by letting us know it brings our God joy. If no one else cares, we know that God cares. Joy is defined as: the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires. So my joy, may not look like what you call joy, but remaining strong and courageous on the path to it, is universal.

The fruits of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control; all of which you shouldn’t let anything or anyone take from you. We win from within, only if we guard what’s in us. Everything in creation goes through their season, but it’s no reason to just sit there and die, but wait for the appointed time through your fruits. As it is written, “My brethren count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”

Our joys, dreams, seeds, reasoning are all birthed from a a dark place, but it’s up to us to push it into the light and keep watering it. Joy is unshakeable, unmovable, unbreakable and deeply rooted in the midst of it all. As it is in the spiritual, so it is in the physical, joy is also your legal rights and you shouldn’t let anyone or anything rob you of it by giving them the keys. Life goes on and joy can be found in everything, if we dig deep enough within ourselves.
