The Love of the Father

Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. 16 See I have inscribed you on the palms of My
hands; your walls are continually before Me. (Isaiah 48:15-16)

 

What is love?

4 a : unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another: as (1) : the fatherly
concern of God for humankind (2) : brotherly concern for others.

But the bible teaches us that God is love. There are 43 specific verses in the bible that shows
us, how much God loves us. But I will only give you eight for now.

but because The Lord loves you and because He would keep the oath which
He swore to your fathers, The Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you
from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. (Deuteronomy 7:8)

The Lord opens the eyes the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are
bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous. (Psalm 146:8) 

The Lord appeared of old to me saying: "yes I have loved you with an everlasting
love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you. (Jeremiah 31:3)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

But God, who is rich in mercy because of His great love with which He loved us. (Ephesians 2:5)

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be
called children of God! (1 John 3:1)

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us, God is love and he
who abides in love abides in God and God in him. (1 John 4:16)

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. (John 15:13)

The goodness of God leads you to repentance. Greater love has no one then this, than to lay
down one’s life for his friends.
