Be Strong
“As your days, so shall your strength be.”
Deuteronomy 33:25
Often we forget about the victory we just had when another challenge comes our way. But yesterday’s victories are today’s victories, just with a new enemy to fight. One thing that I have learned throughout the blood, sweat, and tears: when the smoke cleared, I was the last one standing. If you reflect on it, so were you. It’s not over until God says it’s over. Be strong, and remain courageous. The fight isn’t just one round, but twelve. So rise up, dust yourself off, and come back for more. As it is written, “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” Sometimes the wolf will come around you, and other times, the wolf is within you. Simply put, some will await your downfall; and the higher you go, the colder the world gets. But take heart, our Refuge allows us to come in from the cold.
People are so divided over everything and are panicking because of covid, gas prices, stock market, inflation, wars, and rumors of war. But these things were written, and prophecies are being fulfilled. Do not worry, lose heart, or give up. Be strong; as it is written, “Yet in all things we are more than conquerors, through Him who loved us.” Faith is daily hard work. That’s why each day brings new challenges. So much so that God’s most mentioned commandment to us, was to remain strong and courageous.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
True strength is simply rising above it, by moving forward from one high point to another high point. It’s not about lifting weights, but guarding our hearts and minds from everything that will makes us sink. We all get tired and need time to heal when life happens. But don’t quit the race set out before us. Keep your head up and come back for more. As it is written, “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of heaven.” But in all things, the Lord will stand by you and strengthen you.
When you go through the waters, I will be with you; And when through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
In my night seasons, that verse has brought me much comfort and strength to keep pressing forward. So be strong, and remain courageous. God is still working. Things are not perfect, but God shall perfect all that which concerns you.
