“Rightly do they love you. I am dark, but lovely.”

Song of Solomon 1:4-5

Brown skin woman, you are peaceable, perfect, and always recompense. Often slavery is reflected on from a male’s perspective, but it was hard on women as well. Women are born into adversity. Our Lord Jesus took a rib from man and made woman; which means women should remain close to man’s heart. Tupac will always be my favorite artist of all time, and one of my favorite verses from him comes from “Keep Your Head Up“: “I wonder why we take from our women. Why we rape our women, do we hate our women? I think it’s time to kill for our women. Time to heal our women, be real to our women.” Woman, God Himself has said that “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Simply put, we can’t do this without you, and we are on the same level in many ways.

Woman, God remembers you. From creation, God has spent a little more time with you. In the midst of all your pain and suffering, your tears have been prayers and worship to God. You are blessed and highly favored. It’s ladies first because it was a woman to first be given the Gospel of Christ. So much beauty born for adversity, inside and out of you. You carried the seed of our Lord and Savior Jesus, and have been giving birth to generations of greatness since creation. So when you are dealing with enmity caused by the serpent or serpents in your life, know that our Lord will soon crush his head under your foot.

Woman I salute you! Let nothing or no one tell you what you can or not do. God shows no favoritism. Your faith has helped subdue kingdoms, work righteousness, obtain promises, stop the mouth of lions, quench the violence of fire, and escape the edge of the sword. Out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, and it was women who received their dead raised to life again. A promise will wait for you, and see the value and beauty in you. In all of your adversity, woman no one can worship like you. That is why you will always wait upon the Lord, offer your life as a living sacrifice, rest in His presence, sing unto Him, humble yourself before Him, be close with Him, and be obedient with Him. Woman thank you for showing me the key for turning water into wine, cheers to you.
