Jesus Loves You
“The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you.”
Jeremiah 31:3
The Bible is the greatest love account ever written, from God’s heart to ours. There are two thing things that I know for sure; God will never leave or forsake you, and God loves you. So much so, our Lord Jesus descended and ascended to heaven to save us and show us how to get it right. As it is written, “The Word became flesh and dwelled amongst us.” What is Love? Webster describes it as: “Unselfish, loyal, and benevolent concern, for the good of another; as the fatherly concern of God for humankind. Brotherly concern for others.” As long as it is called today, Jesus loves you and nothing can change that. Since I am dealing with facts, let me provide you with proof from the Word of God itself.
- “But because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of bondage.” Deuteronomy 7:8
- “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13
- “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
- “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us.” Ephesians 2:4
- “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God.” 1 John 3:1
- “And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God and God in Him.” 1 John 4:16
I could go on and on providing you with the many ways that God loves you. God is not partial and shows no favoritism. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. So the same love applies to you as well, no matter who you are or aren’t; as it is written, “What can separate us from the love of God.” As for me, I am thankful that God’s love, grace, and mercy, continue to rest on us especially in these days and times.
