“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-11

These days and times were written. Things may look chaotic and uncertain, but one thing is certain; our Lord reigns and sits on the throne. Jesus is still working and reigns over mental health, anxiety, unemployment, pandemic, hostile work environment, health, high gas prices and everything else. As it is written, “God shall perfect all that which concerns you.” The storms of life are subject to Jesus, the trick is keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus and not the storm, so that we don’t sink or drown. As it is written, “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” Nothing grows without sunshine and rain, but you have to remember that you are the light and salt of the world, especially when the dark comes. Let not what you see, make you forget what God has said. Keep your candle burning and keep shining your light on the world especially in these days and times.

Let not what you see, make you forget what God has said.

Yesterday is gone and tomorrow never comes, so as long as it is called today, there is hope! Two things that I am certain of, God loves you with an everlasting love and He will never leave you, nor forsake you. Let’s be clear, don’t think that being a Christian means all is well and there would be no struggle. Christ Himself struggled and was crucified. As it is written, “The rain falls on the just and the unjust.” So much so, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous but God will deliver them from it all.” So you have to hold on, because our Helper is on the way. You can make it and you are a winner. Let not love, faith, or hope ever leave you; because in the midst of all your storms and oppositions, remember it’s not just the battle that is the Lord’s, but also the war. Remain strong and courageous, you got this.

Our Lord, who sits on the throne, reigns and is in control. Seek His counsel, be strong and don’t lose heart in your night seasons. As it is written “I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart instructs me in the night seasons. I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.” It does not matter what it looks like, because we live by faith and not sight. Pressure makes diamonds, squeezed olives produces oil, and a rose can grow through the concrete. So in the midst of high costs, wars, rumors of war, recession, depression, oppression, and pandemic; our God reigns over everything.
