Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.

1 Kings 19:11-12

What is the meaning of a cave? There are several meanings, but I like to focus on one definition: to cause to fall or collapse. With that being said, what is your cave? Is it mental health, the pandemic, politics, work or another affliction? In 2020 we longed for 2021, and in 2021 we longed for 2022. But here we are, still standing in the midst of chaos and the pandemic. As it is written “Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning”. In life, many afflictions are for certain, but God never intended for us to bask in it or remain in it. Something that does not move may be “alive“, but it’s not living; and is only food for the vultures.

Water flows and can get through anything, through persistence.
Let me remind you that over half of your body is water.

But how do we get out of our caves and the chaos of life? Let us look at the Scripture closer; In the wind, earthquake and fire, God was not in it. So whatever life throws at us, we must get past it. As it is written “We must go through many hardships to entire the Kingdom of Heaven.” Our legal rights of who we are in Christ gives authority and dominion over everything, including the weather. In today’s chaos, the pandemic has brought up so many mental health concerns; but we can’t let what we see or experience let us forget what God has said to us or who we are in Christ.

The key is building ourselves up in our faith and staying in the love of God, which is the proper position. You are a position maker, and to be positioned by anything is against the Laws of God. Let me prove it to you. In this same chapter, a few verses lower Elijah had to be reminded who he was in Christ in a still small voice because he got positioned many nights by life. So much God asked him ‘What are you doing here Elijah?” You see, Elijah was out of position and not where God intended for him to be for too long; much like for us today. As it is written “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

I curse fear, depression, chaos, covid, sickness and all that which afflicts you at the root. For I know that God shall perfect all that which concerns us.

So let us get out of our caves and forget not yesterday’s victories. Let us decree and declare a thing, make declarations of faith as we press towards our goals, dreams and heart desires. David killed Goliath, not because he fought well, but because he believed well. The only position for our enemies is behind us and no matter who or what is a mountain in our lives has no legal rights to oppose us, because it shall be made into a rubble as we stay dressed in Christ. As it is written “And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
